Full course description

Jackson Hole Pro is a self-paced online course built to equip frontline tourism and hospitality workers with the local knowledge, customer service skills, and Western hospitality principles needed to deliver an exceptional guest experience in Teton County. Whether you're new to the valley for the season or a longtime local refining your craft, the course gives you the answers, context, and confidence to represent Jackson Hole like a local.

Across nine modules, you'll explore:

  • Customer service fundamentals and Western hospitality, including "the Wyoming Way" and the Code of the West
  • The history, geography, and culture of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem
  • National parks, forests, and other public lands across Teton County
  • Outdoor recreation, wildlife safety, and responsible recreation
  • Transportation, parking, safety, and accessibility
  • Arts, events, galleries, and family-friendly entertainment
  • Lodging, shopping, and dining recommendations
  • Worker resources and the questions visitors ask most

Coursework runs 30 days, fully online, and is built around short video lectures, quick knowledge checks, and curated local resources you'll actually use on the job. Graduates earn an official Certificate of Completion and a choice of exclusive Jackson Hole Pro merchandise, a travel mug or ball cap, to wear with pride.

For employers, enrolling your team is one of the simplest ways to elevate the visitor experience, reduce repetitive questions at the front desk, and show staff that you're invested in their growth. For workers, it's a chance to deepen your connection to the place you call home, at least for the season, and add a recognized credential to your résumé.

Jackson Hole Pro course is presented by Visit Jackson Hole and the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, and developed by the Jay Kemmerer WORTH Institute at the University of Wyoming.
